¶ 1 We are asked to determine the unit of prosecution for the crime of witness tampering when the defendant makes multiple phone calls to a single witness in an attempt to persuade that witness not to testify or to testify falsely in a single proceeding. We conclude that Isiah Thomas Hall's numerous phone calls constituted one unit of attempting to "induce a witness" to not testify or to testify falsely. We reverse the Court of Appeals and remand...
