¶ 1 An officer searched Kevin Joseph Smith's wallet and discovered methamphetamine. The State charged Smith with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and Smith failed to appear for trial. In two separate cases, juries convicted Smith of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and bail jumping.
