¶ 1 Charles Hartzell and Jeremy Tieskotter were convicted of armed assault and unlawful possession of a firearm for shooting into an apartment occupied by a woman and her daughter. Investigators were able to link Hartzell and Tieskotter to the crime by establishing that the guns they possessed in two separate incidents were the same guns used to shoot into the apartment.
