¶ 1 Scott Walter Maziar brought federal maritime tort claims against his employer, the Department of Corrections (DOC), for personal injuries sustained during his commute from McNeil Island on a DOC-run ferry. He now appeals the trial court's summary judgment dismissal of his claims, arguing in part that the Industrial Insurance Act (IIA), title 51 RCW, does not preclude his federal maritime claim because it expressly excludes from IIA coverage...
