¶ 1 A jury convicted Daniel J. Simms of one count of robbery in the first degree, two counts of assault in the second degree, and unlawful possession of a firearm in the first degree. The jury found that Simms was armed with a firearm when he committed the crime of robbery in the first degree and the two assaults.
