¶ 1 In August 2006, the State charged Faulolua Faagata, Jr., with first degree murder and second degree felony murder. A jury found Faagata guilty as charged. It also found by special verdict that Faagata was armed during the commission of the offenses and that his conduct manifested deliberate cruelty.
