This is an action by clients (hereinafter plaintiffs) against a lawyer who misappropriated funds belonging to the clients. The complaint sought the funds, additional compensatory damages, and punitive damages on multiple theories. The lawyer failed to answer the complaint, and the superior court entered a default judgment in favor of plaintiffs.
