Appellant Larry Dornell Palmer was convicted in a bench trial of aggravated malicious wounding. On appeal, he argues that the trial court erred when it permitted the victim, Antoinette Felton, to invoke the Fifth Amendment's protections against self-incrimination and when it thereby admitted into evidence the transcript of her preliminary hearing testimony.
