BACKGROUND

On April 4, 2016, the grand jury for the City of Lynchburg indicted Daniel Ernest McGinnis ("appellant") on three separate counts of larceny by passing worthless checks in violation of Code § 18.2-181. Appellant was represented by counsel during the October 25, 2016 trial.
