In this appeal, we consider whether the Court of Appeals of Virginia erred in affirming the trial court's denial of the defendant's motion to suppress his statement to police during a custodial interrogation because, in light of the circumstances, the defendant's request for a lawyer was ambiguous and, therefore, the officers were entitled to ask further clarifying questions.
