¶ 1 Plaintiff Wendy Harris sued Defendant ShopKo Stores, Inc. for personal injuries sustained when she sat in a sample office chair that fell apart, causing her to fall to the floor. At the conclusion of trial, the jury awarded approximately one-third of her claimed economic damages and $1,000 in noneconomic damages.
