This appeal requires us to decide whether family code § 2.005(b)(8) authorizes Texas courts to render sex change orders that judicially change a person's gender identifier. The trial court held that it does not. We agree because that statute (i) does not provide a procedure for Texas trial courts to do so and (ii) has a definite and reasonable alternative meaning on its face. Accordingly, we affirm...
