OPINION

A jury found Appellant Michael Amos guilty of the offense of cruelty to a nonlivestock animal. After finding an enhancement paragraph true, the jury assessed Appellant's punishment at thirty-one months' confinement in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
