The State appeals the trial court's order granting Fred C. Thomas's motion to dismiss for violation of speedy trial rights. See TEX. CODE CRIM. PROC. ANN. art. 44.01(a) (West Supp. 2013) (State may appeal dismissal of indictment or information). We sustain the State's two issues, reverse the trial court's order, and remand the cause for further proceedings...
