It is not often that civil and criminal law precepts collide in a criminal prosecution. Before us is an appeal wherein they do, though. The prosecution involved the withdrawal of monies from a joint bank account by a signatory of the account as well as the withdrawal of funds from a corporate account by the wife of a purported shareholder of the corporation.
