Jamie Lee Coker was convicted of one count of intoxication manslaughter and three separate offenses of intoxication assault as a result of a vehicle collision on February 15, 2005. By September 2005, Coker and his attorney had agreed to a negotiated plea of guilty. Coker appeared in district court and waived his right to a jury trial, judicially confessed, and stipulated that he operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated...
