Leigh Gomer sued appellees, Donald Davis, Ruby Davis, and Ann Steinlage (collectively, "Davis"), for conversion of a purebred poodle. During a bench trial, the trial court rendered a directed verdict in favor of Davis and imposed $5,000 in sanctions against Gomer and her attorney for bringing a frivolous lawsuit.
