Appellant Leroy Dewain McCook appeals his convictions for possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a felon. A jury found McCook guilty of the two offenses and the trial court assessed punishment in each case at seven years' confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, with the sentences to run concurrently.
