This is an appeal from a pre-trial ruling in a contested guardianship matter. Pursuant to rule 12 of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, the trial court found that attorney Richard L. Leshin had no authority to represent the proposed ward, Carlos Y. Benavides, Jr. ("Benavides"), in the underlying guardianship proceedings. See TEX.R. CIV. P. 12.
