Appellant Richard Goodwin, a civilly committed sexually violent predator, was convicted by a trial court of violating the terms of his civil commitment. See Tex. Health & Safety Code Ann. § 841.085 (West 2010). The court sentenced Goodwin to six years' imprisonment, probated to community supervision for two years.
