Used car dealer Tex Star Motors, Inc. contracted to sell car notes to Regal Finance Company, Ltd. and Regal Finance Company II, Ltd. (collectively, "Regal"). Regal sued Tex Star alleging breach of contract and seeking more than $8 million in damages. Tex Star filed a counterclaim seeking $975,000 deposited in a reserve fund.
