Alan Parsons, Appellee, and the Training Chief for the El Paso Fire Department (fire department), filed suit against the City of El Paso, Appellant, for violations of the Texas Whistleblower Act. TEX. GOV'T CODE ANN. § 554.002 (West 2004). The trial court rendered judgment on the jury's verdict in favor of Chief Parsons and awarded to him attorneys' fees among other sums.
