Doris Rose Preston died intestate in Denton County on August 27, 2005. After Appellant Scherry J. Levi filed an application for letters of administration in December 2005 seeking to be appointed administratrix of Doris's estate, three and a half years of what the trial court described as "extensive," "miserable," and "tortured" litigation followed.
