Gabe Tarr, a past director of the HRC Foundation, Inc. (Foundation),1 sued Glenn Stelly, the president of the Foundation, individually, for defamation. Tarr's suit alleged that removal of his name as a board member for "misdirect[ing] significant funds from the Foundation" "served to effectively defame him and damage his reputation."
