Ricardo Ulloa pleaded "no contest" to aggravated sexual assault and received eight years' deferred adjudication. The State later filed a motion to adjudicate guilt. Ulloa filed a motion to withdraw his "no contest" plea and an application for writ of habeas corpus. The trial court denied both and sentenced Ulloa to fifteen years' imprisonment.
