OPINION

GUADALUPE RIVERA, Justice.

Appellant, Joe Rowe, appeals the county court's judgment awarding ownership of a female dog named Sara to Appellee, Kara Watkins. Finding that Watkins failed to perfect her appeal from the justice court to the county court, we hold that the county court never obtained jurisdiction and therefore, erred by failing to grant Rowe's plea to the jurisdiction.
