This is a restricted appeal from a civil forfeiture proceeding under Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. See Tex.Code Crim. Proc. Ann. arts. 59.01-.14 (Vernon 2008). The trial court entered a default judgment against Darnell Wayne Menard and ordered that (1) $58,641 be forfeited to the State as contraband; and (2) One 2005 Acura TL be returned to the vehicle's registered lien holder, sold to satisfy...
