I. INTRODUCTION

Appellants Vinson Minerals, Ltd., Johnny H. Vinson, and Chisholm 2000, L.P. (the Vinsons) and Appellee XTO Energy, Inc. (XTO) filed cross-motions for summary judgment on the Vinsons' claims relating to ten oil and gas leases covering the Vinsons' ranch in Wise County, Texas.
