We deny appellant's motion for rehearing, withdraw the opinion issued in this case on August 31, 2010, and issue this substitute opinion in its place.

This appeal arises from a child-custody dispute. Appellant, Heidi Blunt, is the biological mother of R.T.K., a 12-year-old boy. She was briefly married to the boy's father, Dean Kelly, but their volatile marriage
