After a putative waiver of the right to appeal, Kreasha Sims pled guilty, in an open plea before the 217th Judicial District Court in Angelina County,1 to the offense of arson.2 After signing her waiver and before she pled guilty, Sims had been admonished by the trial court that she had waived the right to appeal anything except matters arising from the sentencing...
