OPINION

RICK STRANGE, Justice.

The jury convicted Adrian Contreras of intoxication assault1 and failure to stop and render aid2 and assessed his punishment at nine years confinement and a $10,000 fine for intoxication assault and five years confinement and a $5,000 fine for failure to stop and render aid. We affirm.
