Appellant Ignacio Gutierrez-Gomez was charged with two counts of felony murder and two counts of failure to stop and render aid. After appellant pleaded guilty to all four counts, he was convicted and the jury assessed punishment at life imprisonment on each count of murder and two years' confinement on each count of failure to stop and render aid.
