In this mandamus proceeding we must determine whether the trial court abused its discretion by refusing to disqualify one of several lawyers representing the plaintiffs on grounds that the lawyer's participation in the trial would violate the lawyer-witness rule. On May 21, 2010, relators George E. Guidry, Dwight W. Andrus, III and Dwight W. Andrus Insurance, Inc. filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this court. ...
