Live Oak Energy, Inc. sued Hunt Oil Company for negligence and breach of contract arising out of Hunt Oil's drilling in a Louisiana oilfield. A jury found Hunt Oil was negligent, and awarded Live Oak over $5 million in damages. Hunt Oil's seven issues on appeal complain the statute of limitations ran on Live Oak's claims; Live Oak had no standing to recover for an injury that occurred before it purchased the oil field...
