Opinion by Chief Justice VALDEZ.

A jury found appellant, Lee Ann Yvette Hernandez Garza, guilty of attempted murder, a second degree felony. See TEX. PENAL CODE ANN. §§ 15.01, 19.02(b)(1) (Vernon 2003). The jury assessed punishment at twenty years' confinement and a $10,000 fine.
