JOHNSON, J., delivered the opinion of the Court, in which MEYERS, PRICE, WOMACK, KEASLER, HERVEY, HOLCOMB and COCHRAN, JJ., joined.

Appellant was charged with and convicted by a jury of abandoning a child. He was sentenced to two years' imprisonment, probated for five years, and a $3,000 fine. Appellant appealed the conviction.
