Opinion by Justice MORRIS.

In this case based on alleged fraud in a real estate transaction, a jury awarded Rick Sutton and Stacy McCrimmon $94,700 in compensatory damages, $35,000 in mental anguish damages, and $1 million in exemplary damages. The trial court signed a judgment awarding Sutton and McCrimmon compensatory damages but granted a judgment notwithstanding the verdict as to the mental anguish and exemplary
