These two cause numbers were consolidated for trial. In cause number A-04-0990-S, a jury found appellant Claude Wayne Chadwick guilty of assaulting a public servant. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 22.01(b)(1) (West Supp.2008). In cause number A-04-0991-S, the jury found Chadwick guilty of attempting to take a weapon from a peace officer. See id. § 38.14 (West Supp.2008).
