Appellant, Ashton Joel Carmen, appeals from a judgment convicting him for the murder of his father, Reginald Carmen. See TEX. PENAL CODE ANN. § 19.02 (Vernon 2003). Appellant pleaded not guilty, was found guilty by the jury, and assessed 50 years in prison by the jury.
