This mandamus proceeding and interlocutory appeal arise out of a dispute between the administrators of an estate and a brokerage firm. The estate administrators, who are the deceased's daughters, sued the brokerage firm and one of its consultants asserting various tort claims regarding an account that the deceased's son had established in his father's name using a power of attorney.
