Following a joint trial on three separate indictments, a jury found appellant, Thomas Roy Kennedy, guilty of two offenses of intoxication manslaughter and one offense of intoxication assault.1 The jury assessed punishment at 18 years' confinement for each intoxication manslaughter offense and 10 years' confinement for the intoxication assault offense.
