[¶ 1.] Jenny Easton was employed as a music teacher by the Hanson School District (the District). In March 2011, Easton received notice that the District was replacing her full-time position with a part-time position. The part-time position would consist of 75 percent of the time of Easton's full-time position, and would include a 25 percent reduction in pay. The District offered Easton the part-time position,
