[¶ 1.] Following a visitation dispute, the circuit court terminated William and Sherri Wiedenfeld's joint legal custody of the parties' two minor children and entered a judgment and order awarding Sherri "sole legal and physical custody of the minor children." Because the circuit court sua sponte changed legal custody without considering the best interests of the children, it abused its discretion...
