This Court granted a petition for a writ of certiorari to review the decision of the Court of Appeals in State v. Miller, 393 S.C. 59, 709 S.E.2d 135 (Ct.App.2011), in which it considered the novel question of whether a defendant's probation for a criminal offense should be tolled during his civil commitment pursuant to the Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) Act.
