Santiago Rios appeals his conviction for murder, arguing the trial court erred in (1) denying his request to suppress two statements he made to investigators because he did not knowingly and intelligently waive his Miranda1 rights and (2) failing to charge the jury on involuntary manslaughter and self-defense.
