Amos Lamont Mattison was convicted of murder, assault and battery with intent to kill (ABIK), and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. The trial court sentenced Mattison to life imprisonment without parole on the murder charge, one year consecutive on the weapon charge, and twenty years concurrent on the ABIK charge.
