This appeal arises from a medical malpractice lawsuit in which the plaintiff, Deborah M. Dawkins (Ms. Dawkins or plaintiff) alleged negligent diagnosis and treatment by the defendant, Dr. David Siwicki (Dr. Siwicki or defendant) during an emergency room visit in August 1998, after the plaintiff fell and injured her wrist.
