The issues in this appeal arise from an incident on August 14, 2004, that left a fourteen-year-old boy with a bleeding head and missing jewelry. A jury convicted the defendant, Leon "Boogie" Brown, of assaulting the young man with a dangerous weapon, as well as of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
