On September 10, 2003 a Superior Court jury found the defendant, Chhoy Hak, guilty of four counts of first-degree child molestation in violation of G.L.1956 § 11-37-8.1 and two counts of second-degree child molestation in violation of § 11-37-8.3. The trial justice denied the defendant's motion for a new trial on October 6, 2003. Thereafter, the defendant was sentenced to a total of forty years imprisonment...
