STATE of Oregon, Plaintiff-Respondent, v. Michael Ryan Thomas PEARCE, Defendant-Appellant.

Court of Appeals of Oregon.

November 7, 2018.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Ernest G. Lannet , Chief Defender, Criminal Appellate Section, and Laura E. Coffin , Deputy Public Defender, Office of Public Defense Services, filed the brief for appellant.

Ellen F. Rosenblum , Attorney General, Benjamin Gutman , Solicitor General, and E. Nani Apo , Assistant Attorney General, filed the brief for respondent.

Before Hadlock, Presiding Judge, and DeHoog, Judge, and Aoyagi, Judge.

In this consolidated appeal, defendant challenges the trial court's entry of judgments on three counts of contempt of court, ORS 33.015, claiming, among other things, that the trial court plainly erred by finding him in contempt when the record contained no evidence that he was aware of the court's no-contact order when he violated it.
